Well, this was our first year going to the
fair. And even though it was just 15 minutes from home, we decided to camp for the full-on experience. And I am so glad we did! Eleanor had some homesick moments, but all in all we had a great time. We went back to the campground by ourselves a few times, and E and I got to just hang out. It was really nice. It was just us, without toys or the TV.
We camped at
Zumwalt with
Breana, Rich, and the kids. I am so glad we got our tickets early and were able to camp with them.

The community was nice to have. There are some changes we will make next year though.
-get there earlier and stake our claim on a big shaded area to camp.
-bring our wagon
-bring camp stove, big canopy for all to hang out in, and some aloe vera for sunburns
-oh, and a few lovely spray bottles :)
-write down where we parked on the last day.
The campground was wonderful. There was a lake (next year I'm going in!), a bbq truck, and cold drinking water. Maybe someday I'll have the guts to go naked. We'll see...
The fair was full of so much to see. We mainly stayed in Chela Mela, as that's where our base camp was set up. But we saw people on stilts, jugglers, and live music.

Eleanor even branched off on the last day and danced under the canopy without me.

This is definitely something we continue to do each year. And next year Jimi will be coming with us!
Tired after a long day of pillaging and pirate-ing. Is that a word??

Eleanor and Kaden playing with band-aids. Hey, it kept them occupied for a good 10 minutes.

Eleanor and I hanging out on the blanket in Chela Mela. Thanks
Saamanta for taking our picture. :)

Eleanor is taking the boys for a ride.

Kiran, the pirate. I think I-spy his parents somewhere in this pic......;)

Awww...naked Kaden. He was definitely in his element!

My girl, getting ready for her first night camping with Mama. Wonder what she dreamt about?? I hear there were some crazy dreams to be had that weekend.

Eleanor and Kiran hanging out in the wagon at the campground.

Eleanor and Kylin at the kid's craft booth, making owls from pinecones.

Her first corn on the cob. She loved it!
